Congressman Gary Palmer to be at Center Point town hall meeting
CENTER POINT, AL (WBRC) -
Congressman Gary Palmer will be in Center Point for a town hall meeting on Wednesday night.
Center Point Mayor Tom Henderson will be hosting the meeting at Center Point's city hall. It starts at 6 p.m.
Palmer sat down with FOX6 News anchor Jonathan Hardison for a one-on-one interview on Tuesday evening. He said he has strong misgivings about the recently announced nuclear deal with Iran.
"For starters I'm concerned that the President now admits this will not prevent Iran from ever getting a nuclear bomb," Palmer said. "At best this agreement is good for 13 years and that's assuming Iran will honor it, and I don't think they will."
He also spoke with anchor Mike Dubberly on Good Day Alabama on Wednesday morning.
"The consequences of allowing [Iran] to get a nuclear weapon are enormous. It changes the whole course of history for the Middle East," he said.
Palmer also spoke with Jonathan Hardison about the re-authorization of the Patriot Act and Religious Freedom laws.
