Palmer to host town hall Friday in Coosa County

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer, R-Hoover, is holding a town hall meeting at 4 p.m. Friday at the Coosa County Courthouse in Rockford.

The Rockford appearance is one of several by the freshman congressman in Coosa County on Friday.

The visit comes a day after Palmer was one of 94 congressman to sign a letter urging the president to release details of so-called "side deals" with Iran on the agreement with Tehran on its nuclear program.

"Voting on this agreement may be one of the most important votes Congress makes in a generation," he said in a statement. "Congress has a legal right to these side agreements, and to have all of its questions about this agreement answered before it comes up for a vote."
