U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer will be the featured speaker at the "Eggs and Issues" breakfast event hosted by various chambers of commerce on March 31 at the Birmingham Marriott Hotel.
U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer of Alabama's 6th Congressional District will be the featured speaker at the "Eggs and Issues" breakfast event hosted by various chambers of commerce on March 31 at the Birmingham Marriott Hotel.
"I will give an update on legislative issues and I am excited to visit with the attendees," Palmer said in a post Monday concerning the event on his Facebook page.
Alabama Power is sponsoring the event that is co-hosted by the Greater Shelby County, Calera, Hoover and Vestavia Hills chambers of commerce. The breakfast will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the hotel located at 3590 Grandview Parkway in Birmingham.
Palmer, who took office in January after winning election in November, is a member of congressional committees including the House Committee on Budget; the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform; and the House Committee on Space, Science and Technology.
He was also appointed as the representative for Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina to the Republican Policy Committee.
The cost to attend the event, which includes a breakfast buffet, is $15 per person for a member of any of the four host chambers or $25 for "future" members.
