WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Gary Palmer (AL-06) was sworn in for his sixth term representing Alabama's Sixth Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. After taking the oath of office, Rep. Palmer released the following statement:

"It’s always an honor and privilege to stand on the House floor and pledge to support and defend the U.S. Constitution," said Rep. Palmer. "I look forward to continuing to serve the people of Alabama's Sixth District in Washington and pursuing sound policies for the good of the country during the 119th Congress. The American people gave us a mandate in November to pass sound, conservative policies with the help of a Republican Senate and Trump administration in the White House. There is much to be done over the next two years, and I am eager to get to work."

Rep. Palmer represents Shelby, Chilton, Coosa, Bibb, Autauga, and Elmore counties as well as parts of Jefferson and Talladega counties.
