Trump Administration Releases SAP in Favor of Palmer Legislation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump Administration yesterday released a Statement of Administration Policy (SAP) in favor of Representative Gary Palmer (AL-06)’s legislation, H.J. Res 20, to reverse the Biden-Harris Administration’s ban on gas-fired water heaters. Following the release of the SAP, Rep. Palmer released the following statement:

“In their final days in office, the Biden-Harris Administration’s Department of Energy introduced a rule that would ban gas-fired water heaters. This egregious rule, if continued, would restrict consumer choice, limit the use of natural gas appliances, and increase prices for American families,” said Rep. Palmer. “I introduced H.J. Res 20 to disapprove of and rescind this rule because the American people deserve better. I’m thankful that President Trump and his Administration agree that this rule, and any similar rules in the future, should be rescinded so that consumer choice is protected and prices remain affordable.”
