According to Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL), the chairman of the House Policy Committee, a focus on the so-called woke agenda instead of the traditional duties of banks was part of what led to Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and Signature Bank’s downfall.
Palmer told Mobile, AL radio’s FM Talk 106.5 he did not believe it was a solvency issue but acknowledged there would be consequences.

Thursday, President Joe Biden released his $6.8 trillion budget proposal, which includes raising taxes on businesses and wealthy individuals.
Members of the Alabama Congressional delegation criticized the President over the high spending, misplaced priorities, and increased taxes that are a part of the plan.

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) is again calling out the Biden administration over its energy policies and how they undermine national security.
Palmer, who sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee, criticized the president’s policies during the Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security hearing Tuesday.
