Last month, the Biden Department of Justice, through the U.S. Attorney's office in Birmingham, sent a subpoena to Eagle Forum of Alabama asking to obtain its communications about its support for legislation banning hormone treatments and gender transition surgeries for minors. After the bill's passage in the Alabama state legislature, Biden's DOJ filed a lawsuit against the legislation, and a federal judge subsequently blocked it in May.

Alabama’s Republican congressmen are looking for answers to a recent subpoena of The Eagle Forum of Alabama, Yellowhammer News reported. The Department of Justice is seeking information related to their promotion of the Alabama Vulnerable Child Compassion And Protection Act. The bill bans gender-altering surgeries from being performed on minors.

Republican members of Alabama’s congressional delegation are seeking answers from the Department of Justice over its subpoena to the Eagle Forum of Alabama.

This month, Eagle Forum announced that the DOJ had issued a subpoena seeking all relevant communications regarding its efforts to promote the passage of Alabama Vulnerable Child Compassion And Protection Act.

Alabama’s six Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives are supporting the Eagle Forum of Alabama’s fight of a federal subpoena stemming from the organization’s support of banning hormone treatments and surgeries as transitional treatments for transgender minors.

The congressmen – Gary Palmer of Hoover, Mike Rogers of Saks, Barry Moore of Enterprise, Jerry Carl of Mobile, Robert Aderholt of Haleyville and Mo Brooks of Huntsville – signed a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland protesting the “overreaching subpoena” to the Eagle Forum.

Thursday, President Joe Biden delivered his controversial speech, deriding Trump-supporting Republicans as a “threat to democracy.” Congressman Gary Palmer called the speech “disturbing” in a statement on Friday.

During an appearance on Mobile, AL radio FM Talk 106.5 on Friday, Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL), chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, reacted to President Joe Biden’s primetime address a night early from Independence Hall in Philadelphia.

Although Palmer said he did not watch the televised event, he warned the efforts to change the narrative by Democrats and Biden were taking the country in a “dangerous” direction.


August 24, 2022

President Joe Biden announced his new student loan forgiveness plan on Wednesday, delivering on a major campaign promise.

The Biden executive order will forgive $20,000 of student loan debt for Pell Grant recipients, and $10,000 for other borrowers. The decree will once again extends the student loan pause, which will last through the end of the year.

Many Capitol Hill Republicans have criticized the executive order, including those from Alabama’s congressional delegation.

The FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is an example of the agency holding a double standard in who it chooses to pursue, according to U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover).

Congressional Republicans, along with some prominent Democrats, have called on the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to immediately address the search of Trump’s home and justify why authorities determined that the raid was necessary.

The cases of nationwide fraud in connection with federal relief funds distributed during the COVID–19 pandemic continues to rise.

President Donald Trump’s administration launched the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) in early 2020. The program was intended to assist small businesses during the pandemic. The program ended on May 31, 2021, but not before giving out over $800 billion in PPP loans.
