Palmer Elected to 116th Congress's GOP Leadership Team
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Gary Palmer (R-AL) released the following statement after his election to the position of Republican Policy Committee Chair for the 116th Congress.
I hope October is off to a good start for you and that you are enjoying a bit of cooler weather and fall football. In the past few weeks there has been much to vote on and discuss. I'm glad for this chance to update you on the work my colleagues and I are doing in Washington. I will be in the district until mid-November meeting with mayors and other local officials, as well as visiting local businesses and attending fall festivals. I hope to see you. Palmer Hosts Post Office Renaming in Honor of Lance Corporal Thomas E. Rivers
Birmingham, AL – The United States Post Office (USPO) Meadowbrook Station will be designated as the "Lance Corporal Thomas E. Rivers Jr. Post Office Building" in a ceremony to be held at 2:00 p.m. today.

United States Post Office Meadowbrook Station to Honor Lance Corporal Thomas Rivers
Hoover, AL – The United States Post Office Meadowbrook Station will be designated as the "Lance Corporal Thomas E. Rivers Jr. Post Office Building" in a ceremony to be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
The district work period was full of meetings with constituents, business owners, and local officials. I enjoyed seeing so many of you at meetings and town halls. It's important to me to stay connected with you and hear your feedback on the issues important to you. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me and for giving me the chance to answer your questions. Palmer Hosting Multiple Town Halls
Birmingham, AL – Congressman Gary Palmer (AL-06) will host several town halls throughout the Sixth Congressional District during the last week of August. All events are open to the public and will give the people of the district the opportunity to ask questions, offer comments, and share their opinions on current events with Congressman Palmer.
My staff and I have appreciated seeing so many of you in Washington this summer. I hope your visits to our nation's Capitol building were enjoyable and informative. It has been a busy summer for the staff and me, and I'm now looking forward to some time to reconnect with many of you in the Sixth District during the August district work period.
