- The United States has successfully flattened the curve of infection.
- Approximately 40% of COVID-19 deaths in the United States have occurred in nursing homes.
- The FDA's Coronavirus Treatment Acceleration Program (CTAP) has 72 therapies being tested and another 211 in active planning for clinical trials.
- The World Health Organization (WHO) reported 70 vaccines are under development worldwide on April 13. Media reports indicate more than 100 potential vaccines are in development with eight vaccines currently undergoing human trials.
