The power to impeach a president resides with the entire House of Representatives, not select committees. Up until now, every impeachment inquiry has required a majority vote in the House to get started and has been conducted publicly. Unlike previous impeachments, the process of investigating President Trump has been hyper-partisan, extremely biased, and irreparably deceitful. The Democrats have been resolved to unseat President Trump since the day after he was elected. In fact, Rep. Maxine Waters has said publicly that once the Democrats remove President Trump, they will also impeach VP Mike Pence.

Facing increasing pressure, on October 31st, the Democrats finally brought a resolution to the House floor that would formalize continuing their impeachment conspiracy after weeks of secret meetings and selectively leaked information that paints the president in a negative light. This entire investigation has gone against all precedent when you consider previous impeachments.
