May 2019 Updates
"Liberty may be endangered by the abuse of liberty, but also by the abuse of power." -James Madison
If there is one thing we have seen since the Democrats gained control of the House of Representatives, it is an abuse of power. The Democrat majority has held Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress because Barr refuses to violate the law by turning over grand jury testimony. They have made an unprecedented demand for the IRS to turn over 6 years of President Trump's personal and business tax returns. They have passed legislation to allow men identifying as women to be housed with female victims of sex abuse, all under the guise of protecting women from violence. When the Mueller report proved that President Trump had not colluded with Russian officials to steal the 2016 election, the Democrats simply moved the goal posts and attacked Attorney General Barr, even though he did not even write the report. What's more, the national debt now exceeds $22 trillion, but they have no plans for fiscal responsibility. Instead, they plan to increase discretionary spending annually by over $350 billion in the next two years.
To sum up, Democrats have set an irresponsible and dangerous precedent within just a few months of gaining the House majority, and I'm committed to fighting back.
