"The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." –Winston Churchill

I think the above quote may well describe the hope that many of us have for the state of politics in America and our ability to govern. Truth and common sense are under assault as the Socialist majority in the House of Representatives continues to mislead the American public in an attempt to gain full control of our government, and ultimately of our futures. There are so many issues on which Democrats are refusing to acknowledge the truth, but there are a few that have been particularly glaring within the first few weeks of this new year.

False attacks against President Trump have been relentless, even to the point of condemning the killing of one of America's most ruthless enemies. President Trump's decision to give the order for our military to kill Qasem Soleimani, the head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, should have been lauded by Speaker Pelosi and her Democrat colleagues as a fully justified strike to protect Americans and our allies. Both parties should have supported it and reinforced that it was a needed warning to other terrorists. But, bolstered by the left-wing media, prominent Democrat politicians staunchly refused to acknowledge that this was a good decision from President Trump, even seeming to openly side with Iran's oppressive government and characterizing Soleimani as a reasonable and admired leader in Iran. The truth is that Soleimani was a ruthless despot responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, including hundreds of Americans. While Democrats and leftist media condemned President Trump for his actions, freedom-seeking Iranians who suffered the cruelty and terror of Soleimani were celebrating in the streets.
