Washington, DC – Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL), voted today for H.Res. 411. This resolution states that the Corker-Cardin law, which provided for Congressional review of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or the ‘Iran Deal,’ has not been complied with since some of the relevant materials have not been provided to Congress. Subsequently, the review period has not commenced. The measure passed by a vote of 245 to 186.

ALABASTER – U.S. Congressman Gary Palmer said he “really can’t find anything good” in the Iran nuclear deal pending before Congress, and said it will be “a disaster” if it is approved.
During a Sept. 1 town hall meeting at the Alabaster City Hall, Palmer, who is serving his first term representing Alabama’s 6th Congressional District, said the pending nuclear deal could possibly give Islamic extremists access to atomic weapons.

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer, R-Hoover, strongly criticized the pending nuclear deal with Iran during a town hall meeting Monday night at Vestavia Hills City Hall. The agreement was the most asked about topic during the meeting along with frustration over Republican congressional leaders.

Washington, DC – Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL), is an original co-sponsor of H.R. 3199, To prohibit statutory sanctions relief by the United States with respect to Iran unless the Senate provides its advice and consent to ratification of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. This bill, introduced by Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA), would not allow the Administration to lift sanctions on Iran unless the Senate gives its consent under Article II Section 2 of the Constitution, which requires a two-thirds vote in the upper chamber.
